Family (no alcohol) Mardi Gras Parade followed by Gospel Concert at the Church Shreveport LA FEb 06 Sam provided live music on the church float. This was the first time a church had been in a Parade. There was good response.

Singin' In the Holler is a Gospel singing held on the third Saturday of June, July, August and September each year. This free event is held in a holler (open space between hills) on the property of a Christian man, John Hensley who puts on this event free of charge as a contribution to the Christian community. Approximately 350 were in attendance. A free dinner is provided at 2 pm followed by singing by 4-5 groups or individuals, going until dark. Afterwards, the artists and others have a late supper and sit around a fire and sing and fellowship.
